Discover and Experiment Entrepreneurship

Explorer enables bachelors students to discover their entrepreneurial vocation, alternating classroom training with a work experience in a startup that is worth as a curricular internship.


SEI Explorer

Explorer is a 3-month internship in which undergraduate students combine training with group work inside early stage startups.

Explorer is the module of the School of Entrepreneurship & Innovation dedicated mainly to the development of entrepreneurial skills. The program offers students who attend a bachelor’s degree course the opportunity to discover the basics of business creation by developing soft skills such as proactivity and the ability to work in a team, as well as acquiring skills related to the development of a business plan and a knowledge of the future technologies that will have an impact in the near future.
The path is configured to all effects as a curricular internship and therefore allows students to accrue 6-10 credits, depending on the faculty of origin of the selected student.

The selected Explorers alternate moments of classroom training (100 hours) with periods of work (100 hours) within early stage startups of the innovation ecosystem of the city of Turin.
The internship includes: 4 sessions to develop skills related to Self-Development, 3 sessions related to the creation of a Startup, 8 testimonials of experts and entrepreneurs on Future Tech, Future Trend and Future Ecosystem, 3 boot camps on Business Plan and Effective Presentations.
At the same time, during the whole internship period, the teams work in autonomy on the creation of the business plan of an early stage startup supported by mentors and experts in the field of innovation.

The program is aimed at university students of bachelor’s level handpicked by professors from the Università di Torino and the Young Talents Program of Politecnico di Torino. The opening of the selections takes place at the opening of the first semester of each academic year and is communicated each year by the Stage & Jobs and Didactic Offices of the Università di Torino and Politecnico di Torino. Participation in the program entails for the participants the obtainment of the CFU corresponding to the curricular internship.


Explorer has a total duration of about three months. The kick-off of the program takes place every year at the beginning of the month of March. The result of the work of the teams participating in the program are presented each year during a demo day which takes place at the end of May in Turin.
