SISSEL HANSEN

Sissel Hansen is the 25-year-old founder of the book series Startup Guide, often described as the Lonely Planet for entrepreneurs, and Startup Everywhere, a creative content and self-publishing company.

She created her first startup business when she was 17 years old.

Since 2012 after moving to Berlin, she launched several small businesses to help provide knowledge and inspiration to young entrepreneurs. This was the seed of the Startup Guide, a guide to the local startup scene. The first book came out in 2014, and all 300 copies sold out in less than 24 hours. The Startup Guide is now in 12 cities, with 14 more in development.

In 2015, Hansen was nominated as the Female Entrepreneur of the Year and named one of the 100 most aspiring talents and young leaders in Denmark. The following year, The Nordic Web identified her as one of most influential and impactful individuals in the Nordic technology and startup scene.

PAUL LEWIS

Paul Lewis is Associate Editor, Technology and Special Projects at the Guardian.

Lewis joined the Guardian as a trainee in 2005, and was Stern Fellow at the Washington Post in 2007. In August 2010 Lewis became head of the Guardian’s “multimedia special projects team” which aims to find new angles on breaking news stories, including using multimedia and crowdsourcing.

Lewis was named “Reporter of the Year” in 2010 at the British Press Awards for his work exposing details of the death of Ian Tomlinson at the 2009 G-20 summit protests. This work was also recognised with the Bevins Prize (2009) for outstanding investigative journalism. Previously he was Washington correspondent and West Coast bureau chief for Guardian US in San Francisco.
