50 students passionate about technology and innovation will gather in Turin to turn visionary ideas into prototypes in just 10 days: this is SEI Inventor.

Inventor is a free prototyping Bootcamp designed for students who want to put themselves on the line and turn an idea into a working prototype in just over a week.

It is an intensive program composed of 4 phases: ideation, prototyping, pitching, and graduation. Students will be guided every day by mentors and innovation experts who will teach them everything they need to become successful Inventors.

Inventor is based on the principle of learning by doing that has always distinguished SEI: theory and practice alternate to offer students extensive training. Design and Agile thinking, Lean Startup and Business Model Canvas won’t hold any secrets for them, but there’s more. Students will also learn how to use many tools, such as laser-cut machines and 3D printers.

Another key aspect of Inventor is teamwork. The 50 selected talents will be divided into teams and they will spend long days and even late nights working closely on a common goal. This allows students to enrich each other day after day and to make the best out of their skills in order to complete the project.

At the end of the Bootcamp, a Demo Day will be held where Inventors will present their prototypes in front of a jury made of investors and innovation managers.

But the best part of it is that nothing comes to an end after the 10th day and teams can continue their adventure in the uncertain yet promising startups ecosystem. Boa, Novis, Bonfire, Woosh are some wonderful examples of this, young and ambitious startups that are coming forward in the world of entrepreneurship.
